Type here other important information:

  1. Discus hobbyist should at all times pay greatest attention to water quality. If tap water is used it is preferable to age the water for at least 24 hours.
  2. To maintain water quality a good filtration  system should be able to remove the  nitrate/nitrite or keep them at the minimum level (close to zero).
  3. If large water changes are done, always monitor  to ensure that the temperature and pH of the new water does not differ very much from the water presently in the fish tank. This is to prevent temperature or pH shock.
  4. When transferring new fishes from the bags,  prepare the newly acquired fish by slowly       adding water from the fish tank to the bag  containing the newly acquired fishes.
