What kind of Discus fish do you breed: try all types.

I breed 1500 fish a year.

Are breeding couples prepared / treated for breeding? no.
Why not: ........

On wich age are the couples formed: 18 months.
Up to which age do you breed with them: 5 year.

How large are the breedingtanks: L24 x W18 x H18
swimming out tanks:                     L48 x W24 x H18

In what kind of water do you breed: 6.8 ph, 50 ppm and in which way do you prepare it: carbon and peat bomb

How long do you have this water matured before the the breeding couple is placed? 1-2 days
And what is the temperature 30 c.

Are breeding couples fed when they are breeding yes for: untill the eggs hatch.

Do you renew water during the breeding no.

Do you renew when there are larvae? no.

On wich day do you start feeding the larvae after they are swimming free?
day: 4.
how often: 3-4 times a day if possible.
with what: baby brine.

Do you renew the water during this period? no.

Why not: changes in water conditions no matter how small may effect the fry causing deformities and possible broken bars

At wich moment do you remove the parents? from the breeding tank: three to four weeks.

What and how often do you feed the larvae?
what: baby brine and try to introduce tablet food.
how often: 3-4 times a day.

what: Parents feed.

what: parents feed and introduce baby brine.

why: to keep strong, healthy and to fight any deceases that may come about.

Type here other important information: choosing the right shape in keeping the round in discus. Some breeders that I have visited,seem to be breeding any shape and that disapoints me. But please dont forget there are some breeders like myself and others that strive to supply the perfect shape.SO LOOK FOR SHAPE BEFORE COLOUR
