Do you breed for hobby or: business.

How many breeding couples have you got: 24.

What kind of Discus fish do you breed: red turquise, blue diamond, marlboro, red spotted green, golden sunrise, pigeon blood, leopard discus, snakeskins, red eagle.

I breed 8000 fish a year.

Are breeding couples prepared / treated for breeding? no.

Why not: they are kept in optimal condition all the time..

On which age are the couples formed: 10-24  months.

Up to which age do you breed with them: 4 year.

How large are the breedingtanks: L60" x W50" x H50"
swimming out tanks:                     L100" x W60" x H50"

In what kind of water do you breed: in soft water, microsimens 120-160 and pH 6,0-6,5 and in which way do you prepare it: reverse osmosis.

How long do you have this water matured before the the breeding couple is placed? 12 hours
And what is the temperature 29-30 c.

Are breeding couples fed when they are breeding yes.

Do you renew water during the breeding: no

Do you renew when there are larvae? no.

On which day do you start feeding the larvae after they are swimming free?
day: 3-4.

I practice artificial raising with great succes. One of my secrets is that I use very special brine shrimp which is so small that I can feed them on the second day after the free swimming. I also add acriflavin to the water in the pans. Otherwise in my experience nearly all the fry will die..
